With over 1,500 attendees, the Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing has quickly become the largest conference of its kind in the United States. The conference is attended by service providers, nonprofit and for-profit developers and financiers. In just seven years, it has become the place to be to meet and network with the industry's top players.

Be in the Know
We offer two-and-a-half days of informative, educational sessions with leading industry presenters and special guests. The educational tracks for the 2006 conference are:
  • Ending Homelessness
  • Homeownership
  • Creating and Preserving Multifamily Housing
  • Community Economic Development
  • Organizational Development
  • Asset Management for Individuals and Families
  • Follow one educational track throughout the conference or plan on attending sessions from a mixture of tracks to create a unique learning experience.

    Web of Wisdom
More than 25 organizations come together each year to plan the conference. The committee is made up of organizations from every facet of the affordable housing industry. This diversity allows for excellent representation of issues affecting the industry and creates a well-rounded and engaging educational experience for all attendees.

    Mix & Mingle
The Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing brings key organizations, government officials, and service workers together in one productive environment. Many organizations hold important meetings over the two-and-a-half day period. Networking breaks throughout the conference allow for time to talk and deal in the exhibit hall area. Private meeting rooms can also be arranged ahead of time. An evening reception will be held for attendees and vendors to mix and mingle and the annual riverboat cruise offers even more networking possibilities.

    Get Plugged In
The Cyber Cafe allows attendees to stay connected with other conference-goers and home offices by providing high-speed internet connections, computer stations, a copy machine, a fax machine and technical support. The Communications Hub distributes up-to-the-minute news throughout the conference with the production of the News of the Day and press releases.

    Best and the Brightest
We strive to bring in the most informed and up-to-date speakers and presenters for the conference. Whether it is the keynote address or an educational session, you should expect to be presented with current information in an entertaining/engaging format. Be sure to attend the Awards Luncheon to be part of some important celebrations and award presentations.
